What is Laser Vein Removal?
Commonly found on the face and legs, spider veins are small, branching blood vessels that are visible underneath the skin. Caused by age, genetics, and other factors, spider veins may be blue, purple, or red, which makes them difficult to mask. Since these veins usually multiply over the years and become more visible, you should seek help when you first notice them. Stalder Plastic Surgery performs nonsurgical laser vein removal sessions for New Orleans, LA individuals to minimize the visibility of veins on the face and body. At your private consultation, plastic surgeon Dr. Mark W. Stalder will develop a personalized plan based on your needs and goals for your laser vein treatment.
How Does Laser Vein Removal Work?
Nonsurgical vein treatments are completed in our New Orleans, LA office in about 20 – 40 minutes based on the number of areas being addressed. You will lie comfortably in one of our treatment rooms as the skin is cleaned for your procedure. If requested, a topical anesthetic may be applied before your procedure to lessen any discomfort. The laser is passed across the area so the energy can target the spider veins through multiple pulses without affecting the surrounding tissues. The vessel absorbs the energy of the laser, which collapses the wall of the vessel. You can leave our office right after the treatment to return to your normal day.
Say Goodbye to Spider Veins
Rather than concealing or covering unwanted blood vessels on your face and body, try nonsurgical laser vein reduction treatments at Stalder Plastic Surgery in New Orleans to help improve the appearance of your complexion. Laser Vein Removal FAQs
How much does laser vein removal cost?
Your laser vein removal treatment is priced based on the number of veins are being addressed and the number of sessions that are recommended to get your ideal results. During your initial consultation, your technician will evaluate your veins, the size and location, and determine the scope of the treatment process to establish a cost. Should I get laser vein removal or sclerotherapy?
Treatments with laser vein removal works well for veins of all types and sizes. Depending on your veins, laser vein removal might work better than sclerotherapy based on your goals. Laser vein therapy works well on certain veins; however, depending on your needs, you may prefer sclerotherapy, which injects a solution into the vein to remove it. Larger veins such as varicose veins often respond well to laser vein removal, but if the vein is larger, surgery may be necessary. We will work with you to determine your treatment method depending on your specific concerns and goals.
Does the vein go away?
Laser vein removal treats the vein with a focused beam of light that affects the vein and then destroys it. The laser is very precise and focuses on the vein, so it will not damage the nearby skin. When the vein collapses, it will take about 4 – 6 weeks for it to be reabsorbed and fade away.
Stalder Plastic Surgery Reviews
Dr. Stalder and his staff are awesome very professional and compassionate. Dr. Stalder, Abby & Jess treated me like family. I am very satisfied with my surgery & reconstruction Dr. Stalder is the best.Dr. Stalder explained everything in detail and what to expect regarding my double mastectomy & reconstruction. Dr. Stalder is the best.
I had a double mastectomy with implants at Ochsner in 2021/2022. Post-surgery, I had chronic pain and my breasts were extremely hard and deformed. I was told for months that “It will get better” or “Give it a few more months”; however, the pain and discomfort never went away and I felt dismissed and unheard from my treatment team at Ochsner. I found Dr. Stalder through an internet search and made an appointment for consultation. Around October of 2022, we first met in his office where I voiced my symptoms and complaints and Dr. Stalder gave me what he thought my diagnosis was: capsular contracture. I thought he was crazy as my own plastic surgeon from Ochsner never once mentioned those words and Stalder had not even examined me. When I left, I searched capsular contracture on the internet and found that all of the photos showing this looked just like my breasts. I quickly booked the surgery with Dr. Stalder. Dr. Stalder performed my explant and flap surgery in January of 2023. I was told that I would likely need someone to stay with me for at least a week post-surgery. However, I was able to return home alone with friends to check on me for any needs. I went back to work in four weeks (six weeks is usually recommended). My second surgery to “smooth everything out and rearrange my nipples” was in June 2023. It was a same-day surgery and I was back to work in six days. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at Dr. Stalder’s office. From Jessica at the front desk to Abbie (his PA) and most of all Dr. Stalder. He knows what he’s doing and his precision is excellent. He saved me from chronic pain and the thought that my breasts were always going to be deformed after my mastectomy. I would absolutely recommend him over and over again.
