How Does a Blepharoplasty Work?
General anesthesia or IV sedation will be provided, depending on the type and complex nature of the blepharoplasty. Eyelid surgery may be done on the upper eyelid alone, on the bottom portion, or with a blend of both eyelids.

Upper eyelid surgery assists in reducing the loose skin that droops over the eye to create a more awakened and appealing look. An incision is usually made along the natural crease to remove tissue and fat. - Lower
Lower blepharoplasty improves puffy and bulging skin under the lower eyelid. The incision is made along the lash line to allow access to remove fatty tissue, and the skin is gently lifted to allow for a flatter, smoother look. In some cases, a nonsurgical laser procedure may be applied to assist with discoloration while fillers can be used for more volume and smoothness if desired.
Blepharoplasty can last up to two hours considering whether one or both eyes are treated.
What Can I Expect After Blepharoplasty?
For the first day or two after your blepharoplasty, you can expect some bruising and swelling.
