Dr. Mark W. Stalder is a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, renowned for his focus on the post-mastectomy treatment of breast cancer patients. The New Orleans, LA native is a graduate of Louisiana State University, where he earned both bachelor's and master's degrees before pursuing his medical education.
Dr. Stalder earned a medical degree and completed residency training at the LSU School of Medicine, where he developed proficiency in plastic and reconstructive surgery. While there he studied under the tutelage of renowned microsurgeons, Dr. Robert Allen and Dr. Charles Dupin.
Dr. Stalder's passion for craniofacial surgery led him to a one-year clinical fellowship at Miami Children's Health System, guided by Dr. S. Anthony Wolfe. This fellowship enhanced his abilities to address complex facial issues from cancer, trauma, or congenital differences, along with gaining significant experience in facial aesthetic procedures.
Harnessing his advanced training, Dr. Stalder is able to adapt his approach to the unique circumstances of each patient in order to optimize their surgical outcomes.
Born in New Orleans, Dr. Stalder considers it an honor to practice in the Gulf South, using his expertise to serve his community, friends, and family. As a passionate music fan and a guitarist for 25 years, he and his family enjoy the rich variety of music, cuisine, and cultural activities that this region offers.
